Handcrafted Wine

Handcrafted Wine

Raglan

Grown on the foothills of Mt Karioi, overlooking the restless Ruapuke swell, the unique character of Barrelled Wines is defined by this steep, windswept and unforgiving terrain. Handpicked and handcrafted with minimal interference at our home, we make our small batch releases with a true artisan approach.

Fen & Field Gin

Fen & Field Gin

Te Awamutu

Fen and Field was born out of a love of crafting exceptional spirits. The rich history of mashing, fermenting and distilling grains to produce Gin, Vodka and Whiskey goes back 400 years and in that time the recipe for success has never changed, grain, water, yeast and dedication.

We firmly believe Fen and Field is more than just a gin brand, rather we are a continuation of a long and storied tradition. A tradition that can turn golden Canterbury wheat and pure water from a deep limestone bore into an unequalled Gin.

JK14 Wines and Spritzzetto

JK14 Wines and Spritzzetto

international

John Kirwan fell in love with Italy – in particular Treviso. Fortunately for him, its where his wife is from and she loves it too! For the past few years he’s been bringing in wines – originally mainly from Treviso, but now from other parts of Italy – as well as some beautiful aperitifs, liqueurs and some great food.

Everything is personally sourced, from small, family producers with attention to the quality of everything that gets the JK label. It’s a Kirwan family team and son Luca has his own range of Spritzzetto spritzes in convenient cans – made with NZ premium wines.

Karamu Barrelworks

Karamu Barrelworks

Traditional Belgian

Daryl Bryant built his brewery using mainly hand tools and 16th century techniques. His beer is much the same – carefully crafted and involving time, patience and a lot of care. He’s located in Karamu, just out of Hamilton and makes traditional Belgian saison and sour beers. This means he relies on wild yeasts for fermentation and he barrel-ages his beers for three years or more. The results are beers that rely on sourness now bitterness for structure; have incredible fruit flavours and are both refreshing and food friendly.

Meyer Cheese

Meyer Cheese

Waikato

The roots of Meyer Cheese trace back to a small village in the Netherlands, where Ben and Fieke visited a monastery producing handmade cheese. Intrigued by this craft, they embarked on a flavourful adventure, turning their hay shed into a world of cheese. Their first masterpiece, a young farmhouse Gouda, was born in July 1976.

Seeking fresh pastures they voyaged to New Zealand in 1984, planting their roots in Waikato, the dairy heartland. Now Meyer Cheese is a business admired for its commitment to quality, tradition, and the art of cheese making.

Moksha Gins

Moksha Gins

Auckland

Moksha is distilled with premium botanicals straight from the spice farms of Southern India. Fragrant cardamom, warming cinnamon, spicy cloves and a whisker of lime.

Fiercely flavourful, Moksha nods to the spice routes of the subcontinent … echoing the ebb and flow of Goa … reminiscent of rhythms deep within the Bandipur jungle.

And the aftertaste prowls about the palate. leaving drops of Chai-inspired botanicals as it flows.

Urban Winery

Urban Winery

New Plymouth

Known Unknown is an urban winery in New Plymouth, Taranaki. We think the world of wine can be exclusive and elitist, however, as an urban winery we’re dedicated to changing that.

We want to make wine fun, approachable, accessible, and transparent. We make fruit-forward, fun, bright and expressive wine, cider and aperitifs.

We are heavily inspired by the worlds of art, design, music and food and thrive on collaborating across disciplines.
